What’s New, January 8, 2020

My update this month is a prayer. I pray that this year be an awesome year that God blesses this ministry to reach more people than ever before. I pray that everyone here grows closer to Christ in our own personal walks and I pray that God provides like He always does, but also that we see God providing in new ways.

Be sure to check out our concert schedule to see where we will be and when we will be close to you.
Happy New Year everyone.

What’s New, December 4, 2019

This year has taken us from Coast to Coast, and by the end of the year we will have performed 277 concerts. As always, we have had some challenges, but we have also had some awesome victories. I am so thankful for what God has blessed us with, and what He has done through this ministry. We are SO EXCITED to have seen over 2000 people receive Christ so far this year!

I wish I could tell you all the stories of what happen this year, but I type way to slow. Instead, I’ll share a few of my favorite stories in a nutshell – like how the Lord used us to lead a woman to Christ that did not speak English. We did not have a translator, yet we were able to explain the Gospel to her in a way that she understood. I have a story about a little girl that came up to me after a concert, and in the middle of leading her through a prayer she said “my dad needs to hear this”. We were able to lead the little girl and her father to Christ that night. Finally, I had a gentleman come up to me before one of my concerts and made it very clear to me that he did not want to be at “some trumpet thing” that evening. God did a great thing in his heart that hour; he and his wife prayed with the local Pastor after that concert and accepted Christ.

Not one of those stories were a success because of something I did, because none of the stories had anything to do with me. It was ALL God. What a blessing to be called to serve Him with a trumpet.

Life on the road can be quite interesting sometimes. A few weeks ago I had to postpone a concert for about 10 minutes. Just as the Pastor was introducing me, I saw a lady that was standing in the back of the sanctuary throw up all over the place – and all over a little baby. I can deal with absolutely anything when it comes to the human body… except throw up. I CANNOT DO THAT. I started to dry heave and had to go outside and take a few minutes to get myself collected again while trying to not gag on every breath I took. (I am actually swallowing hard right now thinking back to that day.)

I wish I could share all my stories of road life, but I think people would start to ignore my posts because I would be posting way too much. Ha-ha.

Thank you to all of you who keep in touch, pray and support this ministry. The 2000 people I wrote about above were blessed by all of you that help this ministry continue. Thank you so much!

I look forward to the New Year and seeing God do awesome things in 2020. I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

I really enjoy playing my trumpet in schools all over the world, and I REALLY love when I get thank you notes in the mail from the kids. Thank you to my Oregon friends at Grace Christian School for your awesome letters! I can’t wait to come back and play for you guys again in a few years.

What’s New, October 16, 2019

I just got back from a mid-west/western tour. The tour consisted of 63 shows in 26 days, and covered 8 states and over 7,200 miles. It was so good to see some familiar faces and meet quite a few new people. The audiences ranged from small and intimate settings to packed out places with lots of people. We played at a ton of middle schools, high schools and colleges during the days, and churches at night. It was just a great time.
Two of the the Montana concerts had to cancel because they got 3 feet of snow, but it gave me two days to hike and explore some great sites in the west. I have included some of my favorite pictures of the places that I hiked. God has some pretty cool views out west, I just wish I had some more time to explore more of them.
The best part of the whole tour, and all the work that went into it, was the 97 people who prayed to receive Christ in the past 26 days. That is SO exciting and encouraging to see God use a trumpet to spread the Gospel.
Thank you to all who came to the concerts on this past tour. And, thank you to everyone else for praying and supporting this ministry.

Where did the summer go? It honestly feels like we just put away our winter stuff and now we are just about to enter fall. There were so many things that we wanted to do this summer but just didn’t. We ran out of time and never got to them. That stinks. Oh well, there is always next summer.
Can you imagine what life would be like if we had enough time to do everything we needed to and to get everything done! Wow, that would be awesome. But the truth is, we don’t. I certainly don’t want to get to the end of my life and have some huge list of things I should have done. There will always be things on that list like bungee jumping, ski diving, getting a tattoo and swimming with stingrays, but what about the really important things. What about the most important thing of all……asking Jesus into your life. Why wait?
Some people will have a slow death that they can think about their whole life and others will die in an instant. You may never have the time to get to the things you wanted to in life and more importantly, you may never have the time to get your life together and give it to God.
Getting to the end of life and not having the time to give your life to Christ is A LOT different than getting to the end of summer and running out of time to do things. Make that life changing decision right now and ask Christ into your life. For more about a relationship with Christ, click on “true salvation is just a click and prayer away” on the upper right corner of this website.
Please keep this ministry in your prayers in the next month. We have a mid-west/western tour. 31 shows in 25 days, and over 7000 miles. There is a ton that can go wrong, but there is way more things that can go right when God is the one in control. Please pray for the trip and for my family as I leave them behind.

Thank you for your time and for checking in,

I love this holiday! I am a very proud American and I truly love this country. My one regret that I have in life is that I did not serve in the military. I wish I could have, but God lead us into full time ministry and for a few health issues, there is no way they would have taken me anyways.
For this whole week you see more flags than any other time of year. You see people’s pride in this country and you see people celebrating our independence and freedom we have as a country. That is so cool.
Just as I wrote in my last “What’s New” in June, we as Christians have another freedom we get to celebrate. It is the freedom of sin. We can all have that freedom when we believe and receive Christ as our Lord and Savior.
This week we should all remember how awesome America is and how we are blessed to live in such a great country. The love we have for this country should never just come on a certain day of the year but be a pride we carry every day we live out our freedoms.
But WAY more importantly then thinking of this country, we should remember the freedom we have from sin because of what Christ did for us on the cross. America is beautiful and is the home of the free, but heaven will be so much better, better than anything we could possibly imagine. That is the promise we have in a relationship with Christ.
Enjoy and celebrate your freedoms you have in this country and celebrate and enjoy the freedoms you have in your relationship in Christ.
If you don’t have a relationship with Christ, click on “True Salvation is just a click and prayer away” on the upper right hand corner of this website and start a relationship with Him today.
Happy 4th. Thank you for your time and for checking in,

What’s New, June 5, 2019

What a great time of year. Even though it has been raining a lot, the flowers are still blooming and the weather is warmer. Fall is still my favorite time of year, but the summer is pretty nice.
Last week was Memorial Day and tomorrow is the remembrance of D-Day. I am blessed to be playing at a service tomorrow in Savanah Ga. and had the privilege to play some services on Memorial Day. I wish more people would take time during these two memorial days and pay their respects for the freedoms they have because of the sacrifices that were made for them. Can you imagine what this country would be like if we didn’t have our freedoms. Those freedoms did not come cheap. Those freedoms came with the high cost of thousands and thousands of lives.
There is another freedom that we can have. It is freedom from sin and eternity in hell. It too came with a cost. That freedom came only because Christ paid for it on the cross. He died for you and He died for me. There is no other way to have freedom from sin then to have a relationship with Christ. He paid the price for you and me and all you have to do is receive Him as your Savior and you will then have the greatest freedom a person can have. Find out more about this relationship with Christ by clicking on “ True Salvation is just a click and prayer away” on the upper right hand corner of our website (chizrider.com).
I am so blessed to live in a country that I am able to share Christ wherever and whenever I want. I can travel all over this country and share the Gospel with whomever I want. I have that freedom because so many died to give me that freedom. I am also blessed because I know where I will spend eternity when I die and right now, even though I am not even close to being perfect, I know that I am forgiven of my sins and that God loves me. I have that assurance and the freedom of sin because of the cost Christ paid on the cross.
I pray that we all take the time to remember how we got these freedoms we have in this country and take the time to know how you got or can get freedom from sin.
Thank you to all who have served or who are serving this country. Your sacrifices are a blessing to all of us.
Thank you for checking in and for your time,

What’s New, May 9, 2019

My update this month is very simple……Things here at CRM are going well. God continues to open new doors to new places and continues to fill up our calendar with a lot of concerts all over the world. We have some international things scheduled and working to schedule more. 2019 calendar is full and the next two years are filling up fast. Now, most people would measure the success of this ministry based off of what I have just said. “The more shows, the more successful “right? Well……..just in the last few days, we have seen over 20 people except Christ. That is not success for us, but for the Kingdom of God. That is VERY COOL!!
It is my prayer that every day of my life God will use me and this ministry to reach as many people as possible. God has done some awesome things so far this year and I pray that we will see hundreds more people come to Christ this year.
Check out our schedule and see when we will be near you and come out and see one of our concerts.
Thank you for your time and for checking in,

What’s New, April 2, 2019

I just got back from a North Carolina tour. I had a great time, fun concerts and saw several people turn their lives to Christ.
I do love what I do. Being able to travel all over the world playing my trumpet is one of the best jobs in the world, but……………….traveling all over the world playing my trumpet is not worth it AT ALL.
March 30 was Kelli’s and my 23rd anniversary. In being married for 23 years, I have been home for 3 anniversaries. I have miss so many of the kids and Kelli’s birthday. I have not been there to see two of my kids walk for the first time. I have missed tons of school activities as well as social things they have done through the years. Playing my trumpet around the world is just not worth the sacrifices I have made through the years.
I am in no way after sympathy or a pat on the back at all. To be honest, I think the men and women that fight for this country make much more of a sacrifice then anyone I know. Why then do I do this, why do I choose to leave my family to travel and play music to thousands of strangers a year. Well, for me, it has nothing to do with playing my trumpet or playing music, it has everything to do with sharing the love of Christ to as many people as I possibly can. The trumpets and music are just the tools that I use to help me communicate the Gospel to as many people as I can.
Was this past trip down south worth missing another anniversary, was it worth the long days and short nights, and was it worth the money spent on fuel, lodging and food. Was it worth being away from my wife and kids again? Absolutely!!!!!
Seeing people respond last week to the Gospel is why we do what we do.
This month we will celebrate Easter. Easter isn’t about candy, eggs and bunnies, it is all about how Jesus Christ defeated sin for you and I. He did that by dying on the cross but then rising from the dead 3 days later. He died and was raised from the dead for you and me. If you don’t know Christ personally, you can begin a relationship with Him right now by asking Christ into your life.
There is no better time than right now to ask Christ into your life. Find out more by clicking on “True Salvation is just a click and prayer away” on the top right side of our home page on this website.
I truly do love what we get to do here at this ministry. I love traveling all over the world sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Thank you for checking in and for your time,

What’s New, March 1, 2019

My family has recently started to watch this show on TV call “Dr. Pimple Popper”. It is a reality show that follows the practice of a dermatologist and her weird and over the top cases. I guess you can say that one of the highlights of the show that my family enjoys is when the Doctor begins to squeeze these large cysts on people’s bodies. Some of them just look like the Doctor is popping a baseball size zit. It is pretty nasty, but for some crazy reason, it is hard not to watch. I find myself wondering how such nasty stuff can build up on someone’s body, but then I think of how we as humans and Christians let things build up in our lives that are worse than a visible cyst.
The patient’s on that show do creative things to hide their conditions. They use scarves, hats, and certain types of clothing to hide their problems, and that is exactly what we do with the sin in our lives. We use creative ways to hide it from the people around us. We want to appear as if we are flawless and without any blemishes, but the real truth is, we are hiding huge, nasty things that are much grosser than any cyst you would ever develop on your body.
The cool thing is that you don’t need to go to a Doctor for you sin; you go to the one that created those Doctors. You go to God. You go to God and ask Him to forgive you, and you ask that Jesus Christ become your Lord and Savior. Just as a Doctor gets rid of all the nasty stuff on your body, Jesus gets rid of all the nasty stuff in your life. To learn more about Christ and what He can do for you, click on “True Salvation is just a click & prayer away” on the top right of this home page.
I can only imagine how much relief a patient feels when they have a huge cyst popped on their body, can you imagine how much relief you will feel when your sins are forgiven?
Thank you for checking in and for your time,
