Backup plans is my “thing”!! I definitely like to plan things out and have a plan B, a plan C and sometimes even more plans. Noone knows I have these alternative plans, but they are usually running in my head……..just in case!!
Years ago, we used to manage a very large art and music festival! It was 3-4 days long and there were well over 10, 000 people who came out to it. Weeks before the festival started, we would have long conference calls to plan things out for the events that would happen on those days. After we thought everything was planned and ready to go, we would then spend hours planning contingency plans….plan B’s and plan C’s just in case. And almost every year, we would be on those secondary plans by the end of the first day. I like having a backup plan!!
But let me tell you one thing…..there is NO backup plan for your death and your eternity. There is no alternative to how you will spend eternity, it is either Heaven or Hell. There is no in-between and there will be no discussion when you die that will be a backup plan or alternative thing that could happen.
There are so many things in life that we can plan for. There are a ton of things that we can not only plan for but have a plan B for. But when it comes to your eternal life…..there is no plan B and there aren’t any second chances when you die.
With that in mind, why don’t you choose the best plan of all……a relationship with Jesus Christ.
I have watched many things and many people in life that were not prepared for whatever they were doing or trying to do. A little hiccup happened, and they were thrown off of what they were doing and it just didn’t end well for them.
Life will throw all of us hiccups, troubles, challenges and much more. And no matter how well we plan, we can’t plan and have a plan B for everything. That’s why I know for certain that I don’t need a plan B for my eternal life, because of my relationship with Jesus is ALL I NEED!!
