I love when I run into people on the road that make references to things I write on these “What’s New” articles. I had a Pastor introduce me the other day and say “I will not request any Christmas Music today”!!! Haha!! That’s referring to last month’s What’s New!! To be honest…when he said that, it took me a few seconds to actually make the connection. That’s because I am getting Old Man Brain!!!
The purpose of this ministry has always been and will always be to spread the Gospel wherever God opens doors for us. I could care less if the church is a “mega church” or if it has a handful of people. We could care less about the size of the places we play at. What we care about is seeing God use each opportunity for His purpose.
This is going to probably come across judgmental, and I don’t mean for it to, but at a recent concert, I was looking over the congregation that was there as I was playing a song and determined that it was a typical church group. What that means….I don’t know, but it was a group of people that probably frequented the pews of that church regularly. I remember thinking that I probably wasn’t going to see much of a response that night from the invitation, but I still did it. Praise God we did because God really spoke that night and many made decisions for the Kingdom. How cool is God and how dumb am I to have looked out and judged the audience that day and assumed one thing and God showed us a completely different outcome!!! He is SO COOL!!!!
I pray that I will NEVER get in the way of what God wants to do through this ministry!
Thanks for your time and for checking in!
