Many songs that he has played but never recorded are on this CD as well as several new songs including a bonus track on the end of the CD. Whether you sing along, play along or just like the sound of the trumpet, this new release will put you in the front row of a concert that brings the Love of Christ through the breath of a horn. What’s New December 1, 2010

The Christmas Season has already begun for us here at CRM.  December is full of great Christmas shows that tell the story of Christ’s birth.  The concerts that we do through the year are fun, but the Christmas season just has a totally different feel.    Please pray for us that our presentation of the Gospel will be clear so that those who come to our shows will hear the message of God’s Love.  Pray that many will receive the greatest gift of their lives by accepting a relationship with Jesus Christ.

The fun doesn’t end when December does because we are kicking off the New Year with a brand new CD and a new national tour.  Thanks to all of you who check in and pray for us.

Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

What’s New November 7, ’10

Hey there everyone, I am sorry it has been awhile since I updated, but things have been cranking busy. This fall has to be one of our busiest ever and it doesn’t help that I still haven’t found someone to travel with. I cant say that I haven’t run into people that weren’t interested, but they just have not worked out for one reason or another. I’m in the mid-west right now for a two week tour, and things are going well. We have seen several people except Christ, and I’m only two shows into this tour.

Every tour seems to get a theme to it and this tour so far has a theme of nasty hotels with it. The last tour out here in the mid-west had a Applebees thing going on, and I would love to switch to that right now instead of hair on my towels and sheets. But even with the extra hair and smells, it is all worth it to see lives change. Please pray for Kelli and the kids as I’m gone and please pray for this ministry to continually be used by God for his Glory.

On the personal side of things, we have recently received some news that is rearranging our lives in a big way, as always we know that God is in control, but please join us in prayer for guidance and wisdom as we deal with this new pressure.

Whats New, August 31 2010

Wow, what an awesome summer. Our ministry schedule was ok, but we had a ball with the kids. I think this has been the best summer we have ever had as a family. I can’t say we did anything huge, but we did so many little things together that it made the best summer for all of us.
Kelli and I were a little light on our office hours the last few weeks, but now that the kids are back in school and we are gearing up for a very busy fall and winter schedule, our time in the office kicks into high gear right now. Please continue to pray for us as we are still looking for a road guy to travel with. Filling that position is so important because that person is such a big part of what we do.
The summer was a nice change of pace, but I am really looking forward to kicking it up on the road. God has given us a full schedule, and I am ready to be His servant in every and all opportunities that lie ahead.

Whats New, July 23,2010

This ministry update will seem more like a face book post then anything. I’m sitting in a hotel room right now chilling before a show this afternoon. I love what I do but that’s not the cool part, the cool part is that both boys came with me on this trip and we are having a blast. This seems more like a vacation so far then a typical ministry trip. Lego’s, Pizza Hut, Dunkin Donuts and late night movies are not the usual things I get on the road, but I can definitely handle this if they come with me more often. Having the whole family out would be awesome, but a “boy’s road trip” is great.

The ministry is doing well, the touring schedule will start picking up towards the middle of August and keep us slammed for the rest of the year. I do have two huge prayer requests. The first is that I need a new person to travel with. Christian has been with the ministry for two years and is moving to Illinois in two weeks, which is good for he and his wife, but stinks for us. Please pray that God will provide a Godly person that Loves the Lord, works hard and is easy to get along with. This is a huge part of the ministry and we really need to find someone very soon.

The second prayer request is that the bus sells soon. We have a very interested person looking at it, so hopefully it will sell soon. Thank you to everyone who keeps up with us and constantly prays for us.

Ps. Kelli’s Birthday is Sunday !!!!  Happy Birthday my love !!!!

What’s New, June 17, 2010

Summer is officially here, the kids are out of school and the fun has just begun! This is the time of year when things slow down for the ministry. We don’t do many tours, in fact, our schedule is mostly weekends with a few mid-week shows here and there.

Things in the office slow down as well because it’s much harder to get a hold of pastors during the summer months. It’s fine with me because it leaves more time for Kelli and I to spend with our kids. Our regular office hours are 9-4, but for now it’s more like 8:30-3 (give or take). I love having the flexibility to play with the kids and do things with them every day that I’m home. I’m excited to have them coming to more of my summer shows. My son Chase wants to come with me all summer so that he can help out with the lighting. If he was older, I wouldn’t have to worry about losing my road guys because I know that he would always have my back.

I used to worry about this time of year because the slower schedule makes the summer months really tight financially. God works everything out, even when we don’t realize what He’s doing. God has blessed us tremendously and no matter what happens today, tomorrow, or years from now, I know that as long as our walk with Christ is where it is supposed to be, that God is in control and there is no reason to worry.

Thanks for checking in. Hope you have a great summer!

We’ve been off of the road for 3 week already and are just now starting to get caught up in the office. I know that some people don’t understand every aspect of this ministry and what goes on behind the scenes; Some people think that I show up to churches, play a few songs, and then go home and sit around waiting for our next concert. That is not the case at all. There is a lot of planning that goes into each concert. We have itineraries, promotional materials, arrangements that need to be made, and then financial paper work after each show. All of that adds up pretty quickly when we are doing over 250 concerts a year. Booking is a whole different part that takes hours a day when we are at home. I tried to book a few shows while I was on the road, and after coordinating with Kelli in the office, I found that I had double booked some things. Oops!

The above paragraph is not a complaint, but a request from me to you. Please help us by praying for Kelli and I, that we can do the job of keeping up with everything and not losing our focus on what’s really important – our relationship with each other, our family, and most importantly – with God.

Our ministry operates mostly in churches, and during the summer months most churches clear their schedules a bit to get ready for the up-coming holiday events. Since the churches aren’t booking as much during the summer, our touring schedule will be slowing down a bit too. This will allow us to get everything ready for the fall tours and then the Christmas season. We are also 90% done recording our newest album and will be putting the final touches on it in the next few months.

The kids are counting down the last few weeks they have to be in school and we are anticipating a great summer together. It’s always great when the whole family can travel and participate in this ministry.

Thanks for checking in!

I know that God has a purpose for everything in life, but I have a hard time seeing that purpose sometimes. I would really like to know why we have vehicle problems every spring during our western tour. We had no health problems, no injuries, the concerts were great, the turn outs were great, people accepted Christ, and even more renewed their relationship with Christ at the concerts, only one sound problem, but vehicle wise; we got our cans whipped yet again.

This year’s damage was two separate things; first, we ran into a nasty hail storm. It caused some damaged to the hood and roof of the truck and also shattered our roof vents on the trailer. Second, wouldn’t ya know – the hitch fell off again. To be honest, it’s really not that bad. God totally blessed us this trip. We avoided being in the path of a tornado by just 3 or 4 miles, so the hail damage is better than death. Believe it or not, the hitch broke off the truck less then a mile from my house on the way home. If it would have happened anywhere else, we would have been in trouble.

The western trips are always tough for some reason, but the way I see it, God was in control. He protected us from a tornado and held the hitch on long enough to get us home. He then exposed U-hauls lack of washers in their assembly of hitches that eventually pulled the bolt heads right through the steel that it was attached to.

The best part of this tour was is the outcome of everything we have just been through; the weather, the setups, the tear down, the thousands of miles, the sleepless nights, the tech troubles, the time away from my wife and kids is all worth it because lives were changed and the Kingdom of God now has a few more reservations!

I like challenges and being on my ‘A game’, but I only welcome the challenges with God on my side. Some people tell me my problems are the devil trying to distract and discourage us. If that’s right…….bring it on baby, cause my eyes are on the prize! I know who wins in the end, and the devil can’t do anything to me because God is on my side!

What’s New March 31, 2010

The springs tours have started off really well so far. We feel very blessed to have seen a lot of people receive Christ as their Savior the past few weeks and are hoping to see several more before the spring tour ends.

We are getting ready to hit the west coast later this week. For some reason, our western tours end up having some sort of vehicle troubles, so please keep us in your prayers for traveling mercies and that we are problem free during this tour.

These longer tours seem to be a lot harder on Kelli and the kids than it is on us. I really wish they could come on the road so that they could share the experiences with us. Hopefully we can make that happen over the summer.

I was fortunate to be home to celebrate Kelli and my 14 year anniversary as well as Kaitlin’s 13th birthday this week. Where does the time go?

Thanks for your interest, your support, and most of all, your prayers for our ministry. I’ll write again at the end of April when I get home. By then, I’m sure I’ll have some good west coast stories to tell.

Thanks for checking in,
-Chiz

Is it sad when I have to be out on tour to have a little rest and relaxation time? The last several weeks has been a huge roller coaster of craziness. Some of you may know that my father was diagnosed with an untreatable type of cancer several weeks ago. Since then, he has had several procedures and operations to remove the tumors. They removed a large tumor around his heart and one on his lung. They want to keep an eye on him throughout the year, but besides recovering from everything and getting his strength back, he should be out of the woods for now.
